Special Exam Requests and Services
Pearson VUE and ARC certify that they comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as amended (42 U.S.C. 2000e, et seq.), in accommodating disabled candidates who need special arrangements to take the examination.
If you have a disability, you may request special examination arrangements when you apply. All requests must be approved in advance by ARC. Such requests must be followed up with a letter from the nursing home administrator or education coordinator that provides:
- Written proof of the disability from your health care provider or a relevant professional; and
- A statement describing the type of accommodation(s) needed.
This letter must accompany the examination application and be sent to:
American Red Cross (ARC), Maryland NNAAP,
PO Box 5875, Harrisburg, PA 17110
Nurse Evaluators administering the Skills Evaluation will be prepared to meet the needs of candidates with disabling conditions after a request has been approved.
